January has certainly started with a bang here at Innovista Ireland.
We are passionate about partnering with others to increase our impact so that more people can be equipped to lead. One partnership we are involved in is Momentum – an initiative to equip people across Ireland for youth ministry and in turn see a new generation of young people passionately following Jesus and transforming their communities. In partnership with Scripture Union, Dublin and Glendalough Youth, Youth for Christ Ireland, Alpha Ireland and others we gathered over 100 leaders from across Ireland to be equipped, encouraged and envisioned over a weekend in Ovoca Manor in County Wicklow.
“Momentum was a phenomenal weekend of building and equipping those that work with young people”
“Momentum was everything and more of what my heart and soul was hungry for.”
Our dream is to see lots of ‘mini momentums’ happening across Ireland where people involved in youth ministry in a locality get together to share ideas, work and pray together. It’s beginning to happen in Mullingar and we’re excited to see how we can stimulate more across the country.
January has also seen workshops, coaching sessions and the Dublin Tempo Leadership Course all restarting. There are RISE teenage leadership programmes running in Dublin 8, two in the Midlands and one in the North West. Anne and her team of volunteers are also running a RISE mentoring programme with teenage girls in Dublin 1.
Our other big partnership – Praxis has also held its first prayer event of the year, with over 140 people from across the city together praying for God’s Kingdom to come in Dublin. Planning is also underway for the next Praxis conference on 10-11 May.
We’re looking forward to welcoming another intern to our RISE team next month and we’re recruiting…
